Who says firefighter's job is the slackest?
Who says being a firefighter can relax all time?
Who says firefighter does not have future?
Hahahaha!
That's what I thought until I went for the SCDF visit last weekend!
I was PROVEN WRONG.
It was an eye-opener and fruitful visit to Central FireStation whereby I've learned
numerous things and facts regarding the job scope of the SCDF!
As usual I was the latest blogger to arrive and everyone was waiting for me!
Thanks a lot, love you guys! ;-)
A picture with this group of firefighters on the Red-Rino
Not long we were introduced to two officer in charge, LT Andy & LT Foo!
LT Andy guided us throughout the entire visit and we had a great time listening to
many interesting and exciting stories of how they fought fire!
One of which is the most recent case of the drowning incident in the Kallang River.
I always thought that Ambulance was from the hospital never did I least expected that
ambulance was actually from the Civil Defence.
Yes, I'm impressed with that!
Posing for the camera!
I never ever wanna to step into an ambulance EXCEPT for this time round.
It's pretty convincing that the paramedic is conducting a lecture for us right?
Fire Engine!!!
(We used to call fire engine, but in layman's term is called: ____ Ladder?)
Can't really remember! :)
LT Andy showing us different parts of the Fire Engine!
Each Fire Engine's water storage can last them for 30mins to put out the fire and
each host comes in different sizes!
I'm hugging on to the Heaviest host
Oh come'on! It's not that heavy actually... Quite light... perhaps just a couple of rice
sacks only!

COUPLE OF RICE SACKS ONLY???
LOOK AT MY FACE!!! It's freaking heavy!!! err, well it's not SO heavy but if I were to
carry that for long, my bones would have crumbled into dust long ago!
Next, will be trying out the strong water host.
Watch out!
NS fire fighter which is only older than me by 2 years old!
Look at this scary thing!
(I can't find any photos so far for this, but I did went high up to the max level)
Thrilling and fun experience!
Spiral Staircase
Qiuting and I wore the smelliest jacket ever and wore the smelliest helmet ever!
I wonder how long will they washed their jackets... after every mission? after 1 year?
Still got smell of burnt charcoal..............
Different indications of ranks with different jacket colours!
Example:
Yellow jackets are for Senior officers
Blue Jacket with orange stripes are Junior officers
Blue Jacket with white stripes are Recruit
SO...
...That makes both of us a Senior officer! Ha!
For the camera again!! :)
With a recruit fire fighter! ( *ahem, Spaceman )
Not saying that he's a spaceman, but the way he looks really resemble a spaceman!
A group photo with everyone!
I really salute every SCDF personnel and really a big thanks to them! We ought to
appreciate these hardworking bunch of people because without them, we won't be able
to have peace whenever a fire broke out.
This trip, I've learned something that is very remarkable.

FOR EVERY SIREN BELL RINGS, the respective Paramedics/Firemen have to stop
what they are doing and leave the station within 1 minute!!!!
Be it shit or bathing or anything else, got to stop doing and leave the station IMMD!
Something that I'm unable to do... Errr, ask me to shit half way and go for mission??
I CANNOT DO IT! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA
Yah, that's why they deserve our respect regardless of their ranks. Even a recruit
should be included, why not? :)
